Braves Chances Improve

The National League representative will get home field advantage for the first time since 1996 in this year’s World Series final.

The National League representatives won the mid-season All-Star game and improved the chances of Atlanta Braves and others from that half of the divide come playoff time.

The Braves – whose catcher Brian McCann was MVP in the 3-1 All-Star win - were the shortest priced of the National League sides after the mid-season break, with oddsmakers quoting 5/2 (3.50) for Atlanta to represent the National League and 8/1 (9.00) to win the World Series.

Holders New York Yankees is 5/2 (3.50) favoured with Tampa Bay Rays 7/1 (8.00) second best.

The 4to1.com diamond merchants will keep an eye on proceedings as the summer turns to fall and highlight any value that appears.
