Much of the weekend football schedule has not survived the brutal weather that is sweeping across Europe.
However, the 4to1.com kick and run merchants, who posted just four selections over the Christmas and New Year period, have scoured the games that do look like kicking off to see if there are any nuggets buried under the snow and ice.
That has proven hard to do in Britain and bettors are advised to be even more cautious, as the bad weather is even impacting Spain and Italy.
Some of the [so called] bankers that should survive the weather include
- Arsenal hosting Everton in the English Premier
- Roma entertaining Chievo and Inter at home to Siena in Italy’s Serie A
- Real Madrid, Sevilla and Villarreal all at home in Spanish Primera
- Porto and Sporting Lisbon in Portugal
and
- stuttering perennial Greek champion Olympiakos, who host Larissa.
Cumulative odds on all the above favourites obliging are around 8/1 and just in case you are interested in buying money, you would need them all to win to make a 15% gross profit on level stakes singles.
We would not entertain that kind of risk / reward.
Our four festive season picks managed to make a 35% profit, at commonly available odds, even though only two of them obliged.
Two games have met our stringent criteria.
Details are below.
